Over the past several days, I had the opportunity to appear on several podcasts or shows to discuss WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s case. In particular, I discussed the hearing at the British High Court of Justice.
Assange requested permission to appeal extradition to the United States. It could be days or weeks before we have a decision.
Bill Ayers, an educator, author, and well-known activist based in Chicago, had me on his show “Under the Tree” several days before the hearing.
J. Salmeron, an attorney and law professor at the Hague University in the Netherlands, invited me on his YouTube channel for metal music fans. He kindly interrupted regular programming to inform channel subscribers about this important case.
After Day 2 of the hearing, Ron Placone interviewed me for Status Coup. The conversation became especially heavy as we considered Assange’s health. But I lightened it up a bit by talking about my appearance on Television New Zealand’s “Breakfast” program.
A few hours after I appeared at a “Free Assange” rally in Chicago, I was on Katie Halper’s show to discuss Day 1 of the hearing (link).
Finally, Rachel Hu and Chris Giraffa of CovertAction Bulletin had me on their podcast during the morning of Day 1. (Link here.)
Thanks again to everyone who donated, subscribed, read, and shared my articles or Mohamed Elmaazi’s reporting for The Dissenter.
I’ll have much more as we wait for a ruling from the High Court.
Thanks again for your excellent work getting the word out and making more people aware of this.
Really good especially toward the end with Ayers where you talk about citizen journalism.
