I disagree with the thrust of the presentation here. Shaking-up of all bureaucratic systems can be healthy. All administrations have had their preferred "journalistic" outlets. Doesn't the current one deserve that also?

...but that isn't the thrust. The thrust of the conversation is that this distrust of US news media may be justified, but it does not justify attacks on the constitutional right to press freedom. To take a particular example, saying that the AP cannot access White House events because they won't call the Gulf of Mexico the "Gulf of America" is viewpoint discrimination. It's unconstitutional. And honestly, this has nothing to do with the government bureaucracy. Trump's flat out called the news media the "enemy of the people" and that rhetoric comes with actions aimed at curtailing First Amendment rights of all of us to engage in journalism.
