I followed your case with a heavy heart, the treatment you received was appalling enough at the time, but now hearing these further details only twists these knives of knaves further in their now ongoing haughty, unabashedly imperious, public display.
And done without any fear of much deserved opprobrium, this now absolute and total corruption of our previously highly idealized (via multi-generational propaganda) notions of freedom and liberty as the elemental foundations of the chartership of this nation.
What John Kiriakou too was made to pay shows this is how the laws of our land have been co-opted and eroded so grossly in their perverse 'rewarding' of sincere patriotic intentions that run afoul of this Kafkaesque justice system's bureaucracy, and its true evil intentions which now stand naked, appallingly proudly so, exposed and expressed at this nexus of neoconnery and neoliberalism. Which appear to be the hallmark of our times, these days of waning, but all the more dangerously rabid, twilight of an empire, of mankind's dreams and ideals gone ferally wrong.
All we can do is do as you did: stand for what we know is righteous. And personally speaking, be thankful for what good there is in humanity as expressed by you, Julian, John K, and all others who stand up where too many others shirk.

We really urgently need a full investigation and expose' of the completely unconstitutional workings of "Hanging Judge" Judge, Leonie Brinkema, and the repeated employment of her Eastern District of Virginia (EDVA) Kangaroo Court to frame, persecute and send to prison, on outrageously long and cruel solitary confinement sentences, numerous journalists and whistleblowers guilty of nothing but exposing the most egregious war-crimes committed by the US military around the world. Since EDVA has long been in direct collusion with the government actors using ridiculous, completely anachronistic, "Red Scare" Palmer Raid, jingoist, laws from 1919, as well as secret FISA grand juries, to harass and charge those exercising their constitutional rights to free speech and a free press with "espionage" and "terrorism," -- the very things which, as is so typical in such cases, that they themselves and their close CIA overseers are actually guilty -- their selective usage of their completely controlled, EDVA court, [which has never once found a defendant not-guilty and which doesn't even allow them proper legal representation, habeas corpus, a jury trial, or mandated due process] must be thoroughly revealed to the world for the monstrous, oppressive enemy of the American people and a free and open society that it truly is!! A full public airing of their rank and secretive putridity cannot come soon enough!!
